Jake Chism joins TCM as exclusive writer, brings welcome changes

with 3 comments

For the last several months we have been developing a relationship with Jake Chism of The Bookshelf Review. He has graciously been allowing us to post his fiction reviews on our site, which has greatly added to our readership and diversity of content. His work has been widely quoted, including in two Ted Dekker novels. He is a strong and thoughtful writer. Through a series of several conversations, we have come to the agreement that TBR will slowly be phased out and Jake will begin writing exclusively for The Christian Manifesto. We are doing this for a few reasons. First, TCM has a wider readership than TBR and Jake’s work deserves to be seen and read. Second, a lot of work goes into working with publishers, publicists, and media contacts. Jake has many in-roads with specific publishers that we have yet to develop. Third, as TCM grows in wisdom and stature, we have wanted to begin to review items in the mainstream pop culture from a decidedly Christian perspective. We have done it sparingly so far (mainly with films), but Jake will begin to do this more regularly in the realm of fiction.  So, you will soon begin to see those changes (among others in the pipeline). We’d like you to join us in welcoming Jake Chism to The Christian Manifesto as one of our exclusive writers! Leave some comments!
