Crossway and Mark Driscoll Offer Buyers “A Book You’ll Actually Read”

(WHEATON, IL)—July 3, 2008—Most of us buy books with the good intention of reading them, but an Associated Press-Ipsos poll suggests that 25% of us read not one book in 2007. Most of us who did read can attest to the fact that we read far less than we intended and that we bought more books than we read.

So whether you are in the 25% or the 75% above, Crossway offers a new line of books that promises maximum impact for a minimum investment of time and money. The A Book You’ll Actually Read series, by popular pastor and author Mark Driscoll, presents primers on important theological themes and questions. “This series packs big truths into little books that the average person can read in about one hour,” explains Driscoll. If you could get a handle on the major themes in the Old Testament or come to understand more about the nature or character of God in one hour, why wouldn’t you do it?

Crossway is simultaneously releasing the following four books in June 2008: On the New Testament, On the Old Testament, On Who Is God?, and On Church Leadership.

The A Book You’ll Actually Read series is part of the literature ministry of Resurgence, called Re:Lit, and is published by Crossway. Visit www.theresurgence.com or www.crossway.org for more information.
